Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is getting one of its most popular modes back.
Resurgence mode returns in Season 2 on February 15, a faster-paced mode that was a hit in the original Warzone because of its more frenetic action.
Here’s what you need to know about Resurgence.
Warzone 2.0 Survival explained
Resurgence introduces some crucial changes to Warzone 2.0’s traditional battle royale mode.
With a significantly smaller map than Al Mazrah, it will let players engage with enemies quicker. When they are knocked down, they will not have to duke it out in the Gulag. Instead, they can respawn if their teammates are still alive after a certain amount of time.
This is 25 seconds for the first death in the squad, and it increases with each subsequent one. This is to ensure that teams are not able to continually respawn with impunity, making it more difficult to stay in the game.
The timer also increases with each circle, so death later in the game will feel more punishing.
This countdown can be reduced by finding kills, but if your whole squad is eliminated, it’s game over for everyone.
The new map has been dubbed Ashika Island, with obvious Japanese inspirations including a castle with cherry blossoms on the grounds. Warzone’s Rebirth Island capped out at 40-player lobbies, so Ashika Island may see a similar player count, down from the usual 150.
