MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team has finalized its non-conference schedule.
Announced Friday morning, the Badgers will host UW-Eau Claire for an exhibition game (date TBD) before opening the regular season at the Kohl Center against South Dakota on Nov. 7. They also added home games against UW-Green Bay (Nov. 15), Lehigh (Dec. 15), Gambling State (Dec. 23) and Western Michigan (Dec. 30). The Badgers defeated Green Bay, 72-34, last November.
Those games are in addition to a handful announced earlier this offseason.
As part of the Aurora Health Care Brew City Battle, the Badgers will face Stanford at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, on Nov. 11. Two weeks later, on Nov. 23, they play the Dayton Flyers in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis, an early season tournament held in the Bahamas. The Badgers will face the winner/loser of Kansas and North Carolina State in the second round and either USC, BYU, Butler, or Tennessee on day three.
The Badgers then return home to face Wake Forest as part of the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 29. From there, they travel to Milwaukee again for a matchup against rival Marquette at Fiserv Forum on Dec. 1.
Times for all non-conference games will be determined later.
The Big Ten announced conference pairings earlier this summer, with times and dates to be determined. The Badgers face Michigan State, Purdue and Rutgers at home and Indiana, Nebraska and Ohio State on the road. They have home/away games against Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern and Penn State.
